I am my Sister’s Keeper

It is in these moments we are reminded that we are not alone.
We are unconditionally loved and supported.
We are worthy.
We are the change we seek.
We are fearless.
We are confident.
We are strong.
We are The Divine Feminine.

A super proud moment from our Sista Circle. Sometimes we don’t know what we can do until we try... and it helps to have such a beautiful circle of support cheering us on 🥰. Thanks @naturezkandie for allowing me to assist in your beautiful wheel! And thank you @kyfitness_dc for capturing the moment 🧘🏾‍♀️💚🧘🏾‍♀️💚🧘🏾‍♀️ ...

Raising the frequency and elevating on a souls level is my kinda yoga. It’s more than the physical moves. The asana is a tiny piece in the practice I joyfully guide you through.

Just breathe 🌬💚...

Reset the breath and lay your burdens down in our small group sessions 😌🙏🏾

Small groups. Big love. Masks required.

So much I am grateful for but I will start with just today.
I had awoken late, but really it was on time to join the UUCA zoom service. The sermon was timely, as usual. It touched on “How To Parent a Young Adult.” (Thank You Rev. Anastassia 🙏🏾) I’ll be 40 in March, but I am very much still a young adult 😉. It helped me to reflect on not only my own childhood but how everyday I choose to consciously parent. It comes with owning mistakes, giving your children room to grow, and express themselves without taking defense to how they view YOU as a human being doing the best you can. No matter the age, we need to be seen and heard by those we trust and value the most. We must own our faults and not shame our children for pointing them out. We must ACTIVELY listen so that we can respond in a way that is full of compassion and empathy instead of blame and pain. As they get older, we must also allow them the freedom of expressing their own thoughts and views of the world and how they prefer to live and raise their children (even if it’s not in total alignment with how we did things). We must be open to learn AND show them that we are always learning and growing, even when we are 70+. How things were done in the past does not necessarily mean it’s the best way to do them in the present/future.
Continue to have a childlike wonder, play in the snow and show them, life doesn’t have to be taken so serious 100% of the time. Show them healthy grounding techniques (there’s so many but the snow today was timely). These are just a few of my reflections this morning and I appreciate the sermon that triggered these thoughts at the perfect time 💗🙏🏾.

How are you spending your snow day? I’d love to hear from you 😊

It was a Full Moon Soul Sista Circle. It couldn’t have arrived at a better time. We don’t often discuss our mental health enough. Maybe it’s due to society, maybe the conditioning of our childhoods, maybe it’s bc we are just now learning how to use our voices. Whatever the case is, these gatherings are intentional. The moon reminds us in its many phases that we matter, our feelings and experiences are real. It demands that we tune in to not just ourselves but in the collective as well. These intimate moments allow us the release of being heard and feeling seen. As I’ve become more vulnerable and open about my anxiety and the panic attacks experienced this week, I make space for others to do the same. It’s not about the asanas for me. Although I do love a good challenge and hearing my Sistas sigh and laugh with my suggestions like “one last chair pose!” 😂😬
It’s the Love for me. It’s unconditional, authentic and unreserved.
It feels incredible to be a part of creating something much bigger than myself...such a diverse and dynamic healing circle. Everything in me tells me, this is only the beginning.

While we are limited due to COVID precautions, if you’re interested in the healing collective experience, reach out to me bc the waitlist is growing. The good news, Spring is around the corner and we will be directly under the stars and amongst the trees soon enough 🙏🏾✨

Thank You Beautiful Ones for raising the vibration with me again. Thank You for sharing your experiences and bringing others along. Thank You for the opportunity to serve my purpose.
Thank You
Thank You
Thank You

“Use your voice for kindness, your ears for compassion, your hands for charity, your mind for truth, and your heart for love.”

Beautiful online service at UUCA today

In July of 2020 I found the opportunity to create a most diverse, energetic and soul healing space for our yoga community at Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis. It was there that the vision began to expand as I made amazing connections supporting my efforts of creating such an inclusive space. I look forward to the healing that will be facilitated as the days grow warmer.

I was recently invited to join Quiet Waters Board of Directors and I happily accepted. I’m excited about being more involved and behind some of the decision making that will assist the community and The Mystic Yogini LLC’s personal mission for authentic diversity and inclusion in our Annapolis community and beyond.

Thank You Quiet Water Friends and community that rocked with me this past summer. There’s much more to come, stay tuned 🙏🏾✊🏾🖤

And I have yet another super cool way for you to contact me 📧
